CONNEMARA POSTER DESIGN

A series of posters made in response to a brief by AIGA member and designer Arthur Rebelo from R2 Design Studio in Portugal.

The brief called for out-of-the-box thinking and asked to create without researching, only by following a vague description of the project's core subject: The Connemara National Park in Letterfrack west of Connemara County in Galway, Ireland.

The text spoke about a building with windows purposely positioned to let light in during the day, as well as a vast landscape with water and mountains in the surrounding area.

The posters resulted from playing with acrylic and sturdy craft paper bent in strategic shapes and the natural sunlight cast upon them, thus creating intricate yet organic reflections of light and color representing the mountains and the water.

This project was done during my stay at Design West : Design Unplugged at GMIT Letterfrack in Galway, Ireland.

This project has received international recognition as it has won Gold at the Indigo Design Awards 2022 in the Brochure/ Poster Design Category by a Freelance designer.
